This feature is only available to Rowboat+ and Desktop users.

Export file

To export a file in Rowboat+, click the export button in the left-hand sidebar.

To export a file in Rowboat Desktop, click "File" in the menu bar, then select "Save As..." from the dropdown.

The options for exporting are:

  • Separator: commas or tabs
  • Include hidden rows. Rows that are hidden are excluded from the export by default. This option lets you include them.
  • Include hidden columns. Columns that are hidden are excluded from the export by default. This option lets you include them.
  • Compress with gzip. Using gzip provides a more compact file with very little overhead for compression/decompression time.

Note that all files are saved in UTF-8 format, regardless of their original format.

Export data from charts (CSV)

To export the relevant data from a chart for use in other workflows, open up the expanded panel from a header chart, click "Export chart", and choose "Table". This will export a CSV with the relevant data for that chart.

Export images of charts (PDF, PNG)

To export the relevant data from a chart for use in other workflows, open up the expanded panel from a header chart, click "Export chart", and choose either "PDF" or "Image". This will export an formatted image in your chosen file type.
