How do I get started with Rowboat?

Rowboat is a tool for quickly making sense of tabular data that can be run securely in your browser or as a downloadable desktop application.

Browser users can run Rowboat on any browser with no downloads required. Visit our sign-up page to create your free account and start exploring your data.

Desktop users can purchase the application as a one-time download and install on up to 5 machines. Visit our Desktop page for more information.

What should I do first?

To get started, check out any of our demo datasets to see how Rowboat can help you visually understand your data. Create a free account to open and view any dataset in Rowboat right in your browser.

How do I create a password?

We will send a sign in link to the email address associated with your account when you first create your Rowboat account. If you would prefer to use a password to sign into your account going forward, head over to your settings page to create and save your password. You will always be able to sign into your account via an emailed sign in link if you so choose.

How do I reset my forgotten password?

You will always be able to sign into your account via a sign in link sent to the email address associated with your account. Once you’ve signed back in using the emailed link, head over to your settings page to reset your password.

What do you do with the files I open?

Your files always stay on your machine, unless you choose to upload or share a file. To learn more about how data is processed through Rowboat, check out our Privacy Policy.

How much does Rowboat cost?

Rowboat offers a full experience for free, including the ability to open files, view charts, and use powerful custom views for analysis.
